It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Auckland Chapter of the National Speakers Association of New Zealand.
The members of NSANZ love their role as speakers, trainers, authors and facilitators, sharing their experiences and expertise. They are an outgoing group who make all or part of their income from speaking or working in the speaking industry. Yet like all professionals they need to continually learn and develop to build a successful and sustainable business
There also needs to be standards in any profession. It is important to me that members have to sign a code of ethics when they join NSANZ which ensure the integrity of the association as it grows. You can take pride in being a member of this association.
Whether you are a seasoned professional, or someone who is just starting out you will find a warm welcome and a wealth of knowledge at our Auckland chapter.
Our meetings are full of energy and excitement as we work together to grow our speaking businesses. At our monthly meetings you will hear from local and international speakers who share their wisdom and insights inspiring us to challenge what we do. Practical sessions include speaker’s bureaus and other industry experts who help us to understand what they are looking for.
You will meet our members who represent all levels in the industry and all types of presenting. In the spirit of NSA they are happy to share their experiences both at meetings and through our Professional Development Program.
We run a regular showcase session where speakers can present an 8 minute section of one of their presentations and receive feedback from some of our top speakers. I found it an awesome way to test new material.
One of the things I love about our meetings is celebrating the success of our members. Whether they have won their first paid speaking engagement, published a new book or landed an international speaking tour, it is wonderful to celebrate their success. Our recent National gala dinner and awards night was a glittering example.
I hope you will join us at one of our meetings which are held on the last Tuesday of the month at the Waipuna Lodge, 58 Waipuna Rd, Mt. Wellington. We meet at 7pm for tea and coffee and a chance to network before our meeting starts at 7.30pm. We finish around 9 – 9.30pm (click the events tab for details of meetings and to book)
Come and meet us and you will see how becoming a member can help you to build your confidence and your speaking business.
If you need to avoid the traffic you will usually find members in the bar area from around 5.30pm. It can be a much better option than sitting in a traffic jam.
